Our client is a Sequoia-backed AI startup that has just closed a significant Series A - and this is their first marketing hire.

The business is building the agentic operating system for professional services and system integrators - automating the discovery, design, and decision-making behind some of the most complex enterprise software implementations in the world. Live product, paying customers, strong traction. The round is recent and the growth phase is now.

The Founding Marketer will own everything - voice, positioning, category, and GTM motion - reporting directly to the founder and CEO.

The Role
  • Define how a genuinely differentiated AI product is understood in the market
  • Own the Series A launch and all product marketing that follows
  • Build sales enablement assets that give the GTM team an edge in a relationship-driven industry
  • Partner with the founders on thought leadership and category creation
  • Execute end-to-end across the full marketing surface - this is not a siloed PMM position
What You'll Need
  • 5-8 years of B2B SaaS marketing experience with product marketing at the core
  • Proven ability to build positioning and messaging from scratch for a complex technical product
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling - you write to convert, not just to inform
  • Experience working lean and at pace in an early-stage environment
  • An AI-native working style - you use modern tools to multiply your output
Why This Role
  • First-ever marketing hire at a Sequoia-backed company - full ownership from day one
  • Direct line to the founder, genuine equity, and a comp package built to attract the best
  • The chance to define what this company means to the market before anyone else does
  • NYC-based team that moves fast and works closely together
This is not a role for someone who needs a team in place before they can produce. It's for someone who wants to build something that matters, at a company with the funding, the product, and the momentum to make it real.
