VP Sales
San Francisco or New York, hybrid/flexible
$225,000 to $250,000 base, $400,000 to $450,000 OTE, plus equity

Partnering with a high-growth, venture-backed SaaS business that is transforming how architecture, engineering, and other project-based firms plan, manage, and grow their teams.

The company has developed an intelligent resource-management platform that helps customers improve visibility across capacity, utilization, workload, profitability, and project delivery. With strong product foundations and a clear market opportunity, the business is now entering an important next phase of growth.

We are seeking a commercially ambitious and highly hands-on VP Sales to build the next version of the company’s sales organization.

The opportunity
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take ownership of the sales function and help turn a successful but still evolving commercial motion into a more repeatable, scalable revenue engine.

This is an ideal opportunity for a sales leader who enjoys operating close to the detail, coaching teams, improving execution, and working directly with customers. You will have a meaningful voice in how the company approaches market segmentation, pipeline generation, forecasting, hiring, pricing, and enterprise growth.

You will inherit a strong product and a genuine customer problem to solve. The mandate is to create the structure, standards, and operating rhythm required to support the next stage of the company’s expansion.

What you will be responsible for
  • Own and lead the sales organization, including account executives and BDRs.
  • Establish a consistent operating cadence across pipeline reviews, forecasting, deal inspection, and performance management.
  • Coach and develop a growing team of sales professionals.
  • Improve qualification, discovery, value articulation, pricing, negotiation, and close execution.
  • Build a predictable enterprise and mid-market pipeline across North America.
  • Personally support complex, strategic opportunities while developing the team’s ability to close independently.
  • Partner closely with the CEO, marketing, product, and customer teams.
  • Define the right sales methodology, metrics, territories, and coverage model for the next phase of growth.
  • Hire, onboard, and retain high-performing sales talent.
  • Help shape the company’s broader go-to-market strategy and commercial culture.

What we are looking for
You will be a proven sales leader with experience selling complex B2B SaaS or technology products to senior business and operational stakeholders.

You are likely to bring:
  • Experience leading and developing an AE team in a growth-stage SaaS business.
  • A track record of building process and repeatability, not simply inheriting a mature sales machine.
  • Experience selling products that require workflow change, implementation, integrations, and executive buy-in.
  • Strong commercial judgment and a rigorous approach to pipeline and forecasting.
  • The ability to coach through live opportunities and improve individual rep performance.
  • Experience selling into architecture, engineering, construction, professional services, ERP, resource planning, or another operationally complex vertical.
  • The confidence to work as a close commercial partner to a founder or CEO.
  • A consultative, credible, and commercially assertive communication style.
  • The energy and resilience to operate successfully in an ambitious, evolving environment.

You do not need to have held a VP title previously. We are particularly interested in exceptional Heads of Sales, Enterprise Sales Leaders, and Directors of Sales who are ready to take broader ownership of a growing revenue organization.

Why join?
This is a chance to join a business with:
  • A highly relevant product addressing a real and expensive operational problem.
  • Strong foundations and a clear opportunity to professionalize and scale the sales function.
  • Direct access to the CEO and significant influence over commercial strategy.
  • The opportunity to shape team structure, hiring, methodology, and operating rhythm.
  • A differentiated position in a specialist but expanding software market.
  • Meaningful ownership of the company’s next stage of growth.
  • Competitive compensation of approximately $225,000 to $250,000 base, $400,000 to $450,000 OTE, plus equity. Package is flexible to suit the right candidate

The role will suit someone who is excited by the opportunity to build, coach, and create measurable commercial impact. It is not a role for someone looking only to manage an established organization with extensive supporting infrastructure.

Location
The preferred locations are San Francisco or New York, with a highly flexible hybrid setup. The role will involve occasional customer and team travel.

Due to the confidential nature of the search, the company name will be shared with relevant candidates during the process.
