VP Sales, US

I'm currently partnering with a growing ecommerce fulfillment business to appoint a VP Sales who will build their US sales function from scratch.

The business was set up by ecommerce founders who couldn't find a fulfillment partner they trusted, so they started their own. It now works with more than a thousand brands across the UK, Europe, North America and Australia, runs on its own fulfillment software, and already operates US sites on the East and West Coast. What it doesn't have yet is a US sales team.

This is a genuine build role, working directly with senior leadership and with a real say in how the business grows across North America.

What you'll be doing

• Owning the US sales strategy and deciding how the business goes to market with SMB and mid-market ecommerce brands
• Hiring, developing and leading a US sales team that you design yourself
• Setting up the pipeline management, forecasting and CRM structure the team will run on
• Leading key deals and commercial negotiations yourself while the team grows
• Working with operations and leadership so that what's sold matches what the US sites can deliver

What you'll bring

• A track record of selling 3PL or fulfillment services to ecommerce brands
• Experience at a mid-sized provider where you've had to win business against the global players
• Experience building or scaling a sales team, not only inheriting one
• A good understanding of how DTC and multichannel brands choose a fulfillment partner
• The appetite to be hands-on in the early stages while building for scale
