Our client is a fast-growing technology business that has recently secured Series B funding and is now entering an exciting phase of expansion. To support this growth, they are seeking their first dedicated Bid Manager to take full ownership of the end-to-end bidding process and help secure high-value opportunities with the UK public sector and government.
  
The Opportunity

As the company’s first bid-focused hire, you will have the autonomy to shape the bid function, define best practices, and play a critical role in winning new business. Working closely with senior leadership, product experts, and sales teams, you will lead the creation of compelling proposals that align with customer needs and demonstrate value.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the entire bid process, from qualification to submission.
  • Develop winning bid strategies and compelling responses for UK government and public sector opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information and produce high-quality submissions.
  • Implement structure, processes, and best practices for the bid function.
  • Monitor tender portals and identify new opportunities aligned with company growth.
  • Continuously improve bid content, ensuring consistency, clarity, and compliance.
  
About You
  • Proven experience managing bids within the UK public sector and government landscape.
  • Strong understanding of procurement frameworks, tendering processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and project management skills.
  • Ambitious and growth-minded, with a desire to establish yourself in a scaling business.
  • Comfortable being the first bid hire and building processes from the ground up.
