Salary: Up to £57,000 DOE

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a driven and strategic Bid Manager to join a market-leading Work Winning team at a Tier One contractor. In this high-visibility role you’ll help secure the organisation’s future pipeline by working on some of the largest and most complex construction projects globally. The position is delivery-focussed, people-centric and designed for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment where building relationships, shaping strategy and influencing senior stakeholders matter. The role is hybrid (typically 2-3 days from home) and can be based from one of our UK offices in London, Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham. Salary is up to £57k DOE.

The Role
  • Lead end-to-end bid management for major contracting opportunities.
  • Develop compelling win strategies aligned with client drivers and organisational objectives.
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders across commercial, operations, estimating, design and leadership teams.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary bid teams to achieve high-quality submissions on time.
  • Present bid propositions and progress at senior level forums.
  • Ensure bid content is credible, persuasive, aligned with brand and compliant with procurement requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of bidding processes, tools and stakeholder engagement.
Benefits
  • Hybrid working model: 2-3 days per week from home, supported by offices in London, Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham.
  • Competitive salary up to £57,000 (dependent on experience).
  • Opportunity to work on large, high-profile global construction programmes.
  • High visibility within the organisation — your work makes a real impact.
  • A collaborative, high-performing team culture where relationships and strategic thinking are valued.
Ideal Candidate
  • Substantial experience in bid management, ideally within Tier 1 contracting.
  • Demonstrable track record of winning major bids and framing win themes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills; comfortable influencing senior leadership.
  • Strong communicator with exceptional presentation and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Strategic thinker who can shape bid direction, not just respond to requirements.
  • High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and a results-driven mindset.
If you’re passionate about winning major work, shaping how bids are developed and building strong relationships to make an impact — we’d love to hear from you. Please submit your CV along with a brief note on a bid you led and its strategic outcome.
