A fast-growing engineering and technology business specialising in Defence, National Security and mission-critical communications is looking to appoint an experienced Bid Manager due to continued growth and an expanding pipeline of opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team, taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process and supporting the delivery of innovative solutions to government and public sector customers.

Duties
• Lead and manage the full end-to-end bid process from opportunity qualification through to final submission
• Develop bid strategies, win themes and customer messaging in collaboration with key stakeholders
• Coordinate bid programmes, timelines and responsibilities to ensure submissions are delivered on time
• Facilitate opportunity qualification and go/no-go reviews
• Manage responses to framework opportunities and public sector tenders
• Write, review and edit compelling, client-focused tender responses
• Translate technical information into clear, engaging and persuasive content
• Manage clarification questions, procurement portals and client correspondence
• Maintain and develop bid content including case studies, CVs, social value responses and rate cards
• Ensure submissions are compliant, professionally presented and aligned with brand guidelines
• Maintain bid libraries and document repositories to support future opportunities
• Analyse bid outcomes and implement lessons learned to drive continuous improvement
• Liaise with technical, operational and commercial teams to gather information and coordinate submissions

Skills and Experience
• Previous experience managing end-to-end bid submissions
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities
• Experience producing high-quality responses for public sector or framework opportunities would be advantageous
• Ability to translate technical information into compelling written content
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
• Candidates must be eligible for Security Clearance (SC)
