Working alongside the Operations Manager and technical specialists, you'll prepare compelling, commercially competitive submissions while ensuring bids are delivered to the highest standard and within deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end bid process from opportunity identification through to submission and project handover.
- Review tender documentation, identify risks and prepare high-quality, compliant bid responses.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure bids are delivered on time and to a consistently high standard.
- Produce accurate cost estimates and support commercially competitive pricing strategies.
- Identify value engineering opportunities to maximise profitability and improve win rates.
- Build strong relationships with clients, procurement teams and framework providers.
- Attend client meetings, site visits, bid presentations and clarification meetings where required.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure successful handover of awarded projects.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and framework opportunities to support future growth.
- Proven experience in Bid Management, Estimating or Tender Management within the electrical, mechanical, M&E, security systems or wider construction sector.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience preparing accurate cost estimates and pricing submissions.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce persuasive, high-quality tender responses and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder management, organisation and project coordination skills.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement, PQQs/SQs, NEC or JCT contracts would be advantageous, along with experience using Microsoft Office and bid management or estimating software.
