The Role
As Bid Manager, you will manage the full bid lifecycle from qualification through to submission and contract award, working closely with sales, technical, commercial, legal and delivery teams.
The role will focus heavily on public sector tenders and framework opportunities, so you'll need to be comfortable managing multiple bids, coordinating stakeholders and producing high-quality submissions to tight deadlines.

The Role
As Bid Manager, you will manage the full bid lifecycle from qualification through to submission and contract award, working closely with sales, technical, commercial, legal and delivery teams.
The role will focus heavily on public sector tenders and framework opportunities, so you'll need to be comfortable managing multiple bids, coordinating stakeholders and producing high-quality submissions to tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end bid process from qualification through to submission and contract award.
- Manage public sector tenders, framework competitions, further competitions and direct awards.
- Develop bid plans, compliance matrices, submission schedules and governance activity.
- Work with sales, technical, commercial, legal and delivery teams to develop bid strategies.
- Write, review and edit customer-focused bid responses.
- Ensure submissions are compliant, accurate and delivered on time.
- Coordinate clarification responses throughout the procurement process.
- Support commercial and pricing discussions.
- Manage bid risks, assumptions and dependencies.
- Maintain bid collateral, templates, knowledge libraries and reusable content.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across the bid function, including the use of AI-enabled tools.
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and technology partners.
- Experience managing successful public sector bids within an IT reseller, MSP, systems integrator or technology business.
- Good knowledge of UK public sector procurement and framework agreements.
- Strong writing, editing and proposal development skills.
- Good project management skills and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of pricing and profitability.
- Ability to turn complex technical information into clear, customer-focused content.
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with CRM, bid management or AI-assisted proposal tools would be beneficial.
- APMP certification would be advantageous but is not essential.
