The Role
As our Bid Writer, you will:

  • Write persuasive, clear, and compliant proposals, tailoring content to highlight our value, capability, and differentiated offering.
  • Maintain and develop our bid / proposal content library (case studies, boiler plate material, capability statements, etc.).
  • Proofread, edit and quality control all bid documents to ensure consistency, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment, keeping the bid process on track.
  • Assist with bid reviews, feedback debriefs, and continuous improvement of bid materials and processes.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Proven experience in bid writing or proposal development, ideally within the construction or maintenance sectors.
  • Strong written communication skills, with an ability to simplify technical or complex information into clear, client-facing content.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Good understanding of public sector procurement / tendering process & frameworks.

  • Salary up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Flexible working: 1 day per week working remotely, the rest mostly on site / office as needed.
  • Opportunity to report directly to the Head of Bids, with strong exposure across the business.
  • Be part of a growing team, with room to influence bid strategy, content, and processes.
  • Professional development and training opportunities.
