Our client is seeking an experienced Events and Community Engagement Manager to shape an outstanding occupier experience across a major commercial destination. You’ll combine events, community building, marketing and stakeholder engagement to create meaningful experiences that encourage people to connect, participate and spend more time on site. This is a highly visible role where you’ll work with property, placemaking and external partners to develop engaging campaigns, signature events and community initiatives. You’ll also have the opportunity to strengthen the destination’s profile, build valuable partnerships and identify new opportunities that enhance both the customer experience and the wider commercial proposition.
The Events and Community Engagement Manager will develop and deliver engagement strategies that bring the site’s community to life, increase participation and create a strong sense of place.
Role Highlights
- – Build and implement annual events and community engagement strategies, including budgets and quarterly reviews.
- – Create a varied programme of wellbeing, volunteering, education, community and signature events.
- – Lead event planning from procurement and stakeholder coordination through to delivery, logistics and post-event reporting.
- – Act as a visible ambassador for the destination, building strong relationships with occupiers, visitors, local organisations and community partners.
- – Develop marketing activity across digital and physical channels, using insight and analytics to strengthen engagement and brand awareness.
You Will Need
- – Proven experience delivering events, community engagement, placemaking, marketing or a closely related discipline.
- – Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, suppliers, budgets and deadlines.
- – Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging occupiers, visitors, agencies and external partners.
- – Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities that enhance the profile, experience and potential revenue of a destination.
- – A practical understanding of event logistics, health and safety requirements and successful on-the-ground delivery.
- – A high-profile role combining events, marketing, placemaking and community engagement.
