They deliver transformative solutions that drive client success and are expanding our team to bring on board a highly motivated Pursuit Director. The individual will play a critical role in establishing a new industry vertical for the team and business and drive new business opportunities through it.


Job Overview:
The Pursuit Director will be instrumental in leading pursuit strategies, managing complex, high-stakes proposals, and delivering winning pitches that resonate with potential clients. This role involves working cross-functionally with subject matter experts, business development teams, and senior leadership to develop targeted, compelling responses that meet client needs and position [Your Company Name] as the go-to partner in the industry.

We’re looking for a proactive leader with exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and project management skills who can drive all aspects of pursuit management and enhance our client acquisition capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Pursuit Planning: Develop and implement customized pursuit strategies that align with client objectives and position us competitively within the professional services landscape.
  • Proposal & Pitch Leadership: Oversee the development of top-quality proposals, presentations, and RFP responses that clearly convey our value proposition, approach, and key differentiators.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams, including consultants, subject matter experts, marketing, and executive leadership, to create cohesive, compelling pursuit materials.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary contact with client decision-makers, building strong relationships and ensuring alignment on pursuit strategy and progress.
  • Market Intelligence & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive research on client needs, industry trends, and competitor positioning to tailor strategies for each pursuit.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive enhancements to pursuit processes, proposal quality, and team knowledge-sharing to improve our overall win rate.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the pursuit lifecycle and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring each proposal meets our high standards and remains competitive.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8+ years in pursuit management, business development, or sales within a professional services environment, ideally in professional services.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority pursuits simultaneously.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of creating impactful presentations and fostering client relationships.
    • Strategic mindset with strong analytical skills, focused on delivering customized client solutions.
    • Proven team leader, skilled at motivating cross-functional teams and managing complex pursuit workflows.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of professional services industry dynamics, client challenges, and the competitive landscape.
