Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple pursuits and strategic opportunities simultaneously across a varied portfolio of work.
- Assess and qualify new opportunities in collaboration with senior stakeholders and business leaders.
- Lead pursuit kick-off meetings and help define overarching win themes and strategic messaging.
- Develop compelling proposal content and client-facing materials tailored to specific opportunities.
- Coordinate contributions from stakeholders across the business to ensure timely and high-quality submissions.
- Conduct market, client and competitor research to support pursuit strategy and positioning.
- Support senior stakeholders in preparing for presentations, pitches and client meetings.
- Monitor pursuit outcomes, analyse performance data and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Drive best practice across pursuit management processes, templates and reporting frameworks.
- Conduct post-pursuit reviews and feedback sessions, translating insights into actionable improvements.
- Contribute to innovation initiatives, including the use of AI and emerging technologies within pursuit processes.
- Work collaboratively with wider business services teams including Finance, HR, Learning & Development and Compliance.
- Mentor and support junior team members, delegating work and providing guidance where appropriate.
- Participate in broader business development and strategic growth initiatives across the firm.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Previous pursuit, pitch or proposal management experience within a professional services environment.
- Strong experience managing panel tenders and strategic pursuits from inception through to delivery.
- Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive and commercially focused content.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence and challenge senior professionals constructively.
- Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of value propositions and strategic positioning.
- Outstanding organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively.
- A collaborative approach combined with the ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering consistently high standards of work.
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Resilience and the ability to perform effectively under pressure and tight timelines.
- Confidence building relationships across all levels of seniority within a complex organisation.
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Degree educated preferred but not essential.
