We're working with a leading international consultancy operating across the built environment, infrastructure and advisory sectors. With a strong growth trajectory and an employee-focused culture, they're looking to appoint a Pursuits Manager to play a key role in driving business growth across the UK, Ireland and Canada.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced bids and pursuits professional who enjoys operating at both a strategic and hands-on level. You'll take ownership of major pursuits, influence go/no-go decisions, develop winning strategies and lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering compelling submissions across a diverse range of sectors.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Head of Marketing & Pursuits, you'll be responsible for leading the pursuit process on strategic and high-value opportunities. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you'll help shape bid strategy, facilitate pursuit workshops, develop win themes and ensure the highest quality standards across submissions.
You'll also play an important leadership role, coaching and developing Pursuits Consultants while helping to embed best practice across the wider business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end pursuit process for strategic and high-priority opportunities.
  • Own and facilitate the go/no-go decision-making process.
  • Develop pursuit strategies, win themes and executive summaries that strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Manage and maintain visibility across the tender pipeline, ensuring opportunities are effectively tracked and prioritised.
  • Conduct market, client and competitor research to inform bid strategies and improve win rates.
  • Collaborate with technical experts and business leaders to create compelling, client-focused submissions.
  • Drive continuous improvement across bid processes, tools and governance.
  • Support the development of account management plans and growth strategies.
  • Coach, mentor and develop members of the pursuits team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Share best practice across regional and global teams.
About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong bid leadership experience with commercial awareness and excellent stakeholder management skills.
You'll likely bring:
  • 6+ years' experience in bids, pursuits or proposal management within professional services, property, infrastructure or a related sector.
  • Experience leading complex, strategic pursuits and major tender submissions.
  • Strong understanding of bid strategy, qualification, planning and delivery.
  • Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and facilitating pursuit workshops.
  • Previous people management or leadership experience.
  • A data-driven mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
