About the Company
A leading major construction and infrastructure contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Bid Writer due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful bid team, working on large-scale construction and engineering tenders across the UK. The successful candidate will play a key part in producing high-quality, compelling and compliant tender submissions that help secure major projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development, writing, editing and proofing of high-quality bid and tender submissions
  • Work collaboratively with bid managers, operational teams and subject matter experts to develop winning strategies and responses
  • Analyse tender documentation, client requirements and evaluation criteria to develop answer plans and maximise scoring opportunities
  • Develop compelling written content that clearly articulates key win themes, technical solutions and value propositions
  • Research and gather supporting information, project examples and case studies to strengthen submissions
  • Coordinate and manage response deadlines, ensuring all deliverables are completed in line with tender programmes
  • Support quality assurance and review processes, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and bid leadership teams
  • Assist with the development of graphics, supporting materials and presentation content where required
  • Attend bid workshops, progress meetings and coordination sessions throughout the tender lifecycle
  • Maintain and update bid library content, project summaries and value-add information for future submissions
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working as a Bid Writer or Senior Bid Writer within the construction or engineering sector
  • Strong understanding of bid and tender processes across a range of project values
  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills
  • APMP accreditation (Foundation or Practitioner) is desirable
