Our bid management recruiters worked with Aztec Group, a leading provider of fund and corporate services, in the summer of 2024. The business was looking to open a new department to focus on strategy. They needed to hire a Strategic Bid Manager and Senior Strategic Bid Manager to facilitate this growth. 

Having faced lengthy, drawn-out recruitment processes in the past, they decided to work directly with a recruitment agency. Hayley Jones found two excellent candidates for the roles in six weeks.

The story of Aztec Group

Founded in 2001, the Aztec Group has become a leading provider of fund and corporate services. With a team of more than 2,000 professionals across six jurisdictions - Guernsey, Jersey, Luxembourg, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States - the Group is committed to delivering operational excellence throughout the fund lifecycle. 

At this point, the Group was looking to launch a new strategic bids team who would have a commercial role in the organisation. The two Bid Manager roles were newly created to facilitate further business growth. 

Challenge: Navigating the recruitment market

The Head of Bids, who was responsible for recruitment, has unfortunately faced long and difficult hiring processes in the past. This time they wanted to get it right first time. Having partnered with our sister recruitment agency, Tarka Talent, Aztec Group had seen the benefits of working with a specialist recruitment agency. As a result, they chose to take the roles direct to agency support.
