CSL is a private equity backed IoT provider, with a core focus on critical connectivity. Their managed service offering is market leading – the business connects 90% of UK high street security; and the company is particularly strong supporting businesses who resolve direct or indirect threats to life, for example, police, fire services and telehealth.
In early 2024, our executive search team was introduced to the business by CSL's investors, ECI Partners, who recommended we support them with a Marketing Director search. The business is going through a period of rapid growth and was seeking a Marketing Director to lead the team and take full accountability of generating high-quality, high-value leads, as well as raising CSL’s exposure across the IoT landscape.
Our market map identified close to 200 candidates from fast-growth, privately funded technology businesses. Each candidate was assessed against their ability to drive significant volumes of high-quality MQLs, their experience building a best-in-class marketing engine room; and a suitable culture fit: fast-paced, action oriented, comfortable with autonomy and an excellent business partner.
Following a detailed selection process, Helen Badger of IRIS Software Group was appointed in the role, starting in July 2024.
