Our product design recruitment team started working with Dentally - leading dental software company - in November 2024. Having recently onboarded their Head of Product Design, the business was looking to build a strong structure beneath them to complement their existing design squad.

Founded in 2011, Dentally has emerged as the UK's market-leading cloud solution for dental practice management. Part of Henry Schein One, Dentally is available in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, with over 50,000 users worldwide.

Challenge: Building the foundations of a strong design function

In November 2024, Dentally's newly appointed Head of Product Design aimed to build a robust team structure by introducing a senior role to support strategic growth and enhance the existing design squad. The challenge was to find a Product Design Lead who could seamlessly integrate into the team and contribute effectively to the company's evolving needs.

Solution: A focused search, tailored to the business

Without an internal design recruitment specialist, Dentally sought the expertise of our specialist recruiter, Yasmin. The hiring manager had previously worked with Yasmin during her own job search and was impressed with the experience she had received.   • Continuous communication via WhatsApp to ensure alignment and swift decision-making

This proactive approach ensured that only the most suitable candidates progressed through the stages, leading to an efficient and effective hiring process.  

Result: Design enhancements in the pipeline

The successful placement of the Product Design Lead has significantly strengthened Dentally's design function. This strategic hire supports the Head of Design, allowing her to focus on broader strategic goals. The team has a strong set-up for product enhancements throughout 2025.
