The story of Hanson Wade

Hanson Wade is a business intelligence organisation recognised as one of the fastest-growing companies in the UK. Established in 2008, the company specialises in building communities of key thought leaders across some of the world’s most cutting-edge industries, monetising these through world-class data and conference products.  

Following its acquisition by a private equity firm, Hanson Wade set a clear vision to double in size within five years, after already doubling over the previous five. Against this backdrop of ambitious growth, the company needed to hire a Business Development Manager to strengthen its commercial team and support its continued expansion. 

Challenge: Finding top talent for a specific role

The Business Development Manager role was designed to be a cornerstone of Hanson Wade’s high-performing sponsorship sales team. This position required an individual who could engage senior stakeholders in a highly consultative way, building long-term partnerships while contributing to the company’s wider vision for growth.
