Finding top marketing talent
Specialist tech marketing recruiter, Katie Scott, was best positioned to support Hazy’s talent search. She worked closely with the business to understand their requirements, culture and company, travelling to meet them in their offices for a true understanding of each.
As the first marketing hires for a start-up, Hazy were looking for marketers who were able to come in and make a difference to their business. As a result, it was important that candidates had start-up experience in the tech world, so they were experienced in growing successful tech marketing teams and were accustomed to the hands-on, flexible environment of start-ups.
They were also looking for candidates with broad marketing skill sets who would be able to support across multiple marketing channels. Generalist marketers are crucial in small teams and vital to promote future marketing and company growth.
Katie took a targeted approach to this search, leveraging her network of tech marketers to deliver short lists of candidates from relevant businesses. She found Hazy an excellent Marketing Lead in Lauren Arthur, who Katie then worked with to find a Marketing Campaign Manager to support on all marketing activities.
