Our recruitment specialists partnered with British group of gifting specialists, The Cambium Group, in June 2024. Their HR team were searching for extra support with digital marketing recruitment when they got in touch with us. They had been advertising a Group CRM Manager role directly and needed a specialist to supercharge their talent search.
The Cambium Group was created to revolutionise the wedding gifting industry with a dynamic and customer-centric approach. Their services offer engaged couples a seamless and personalised experience through their flagship brands: The Wedding Shop, The Wedding Present Company, and Prezola.
Powered by long-term investors, Phoenix Ventures, they’re now actively expanding into new markets, such as lifestyle shopping and baby gifting.
With a unique business structure, it was important that the candidate has the right experience and personality to excel in The Cambium Group.
The biggest challenge for this hire was balancing the technical skill set with the personality of the candidate. The HR team were struggling to assess this culture fit from the CVs alone. Meeting so many people for first-stage interviews was draining a lot of their time without much success.
To overcome this challenge, The Cambium Group partnered with specialist CRM recruiter, Fabio Can Alesi, on this role.
Partnering with a digital marketing recruitment agency gave the business support with screening candidates. Fabio’s knowledge of the market and CRM skill set meant that he was able to deliver CVs that met their requirements around both culture and skills.
Fabio scheduled weekly calls with the hiring team at The Cambium Group to share his feedback on the market and present candidates. As the hiring process took place over the summer period, these calls were also useful to keep on top of everyone’s schedules and availability. This ensured a smooth, clear interview process.
