Our recruiters began working with TJB Super Yachts, an independent boutique yacht brokerage, in September 2024. As they expanded their marketing capabilities, the business had recently hired a new Marketing Director who needed our support with further hiring into the team.

The story of TJB Super Yachts

Established in 2013, TJB Super Yachts has become a leading independent yacht brokerage, specialising in superyacht purchase and charter. With headquarters in London and Palm Beach, Florida, and offices worldwide, their expert team offers personalised service, providing access to the world's most spectacular vessels. 

Ready to expand their marketing efforts, TJB Super Yachts recently hired a new Marketing Director to lead this growth. Having supported them with building their team in the past, they knew they could rely on our consultants to deliver an excellent recruitment experience. 

Challenge: Navigating the recruitment market

The recruitment market can be difficult to navigate in the high-net-worth, luxury marketing space. As a lucrative industry, businesses often find it a challenge to identify talent with the right level of experience.  

Additionally, TJB Super Yachts’ working policies complicated the search process. The team needed the Marketing Executive in the office five-days a week – the most unpopular working policy according to our research. 

Solution: Access to our specialist network and knowledge

Victoria has built an expansive network of marketers in the luxury industry. Regularly speaking to hundreds of candidates from entry-level to C-suite allows her to truly understand the sector.  

As a result, Victoria quickly identified a strong candidate who came recommended from those in her network. The successful candidate had recently interviewed with Victoria, so she knew she would be perfect for the Marketing Executive role with TJB Super Yachts. 

Plus, leveraging this knowledge, Victoria advised the hiring team on how to position their employer brand in the market. Working closely with the Marketing Director and HR Director, she advised them on how to improve the company culture to attract and retain talent. 

Result: Successful hire and improved company culture

Educating the team on the value of a four-day week in the office, Victoria was able to negotiate this schedule for the successful candidate. Now, the team are trialling this working policy business wide. 

This resulted in a successful hire for the Marketing Executive role and a stronger proposition for future hires.
