The story of Wype

Wype is a fast-growing direct-to-consumer brand operating within the hygiene category, bringing sustainable, science‑led care to intimate health concerns that have been underserved, stigmatised, or ignored. Over time they have built a customer base of over 300,000 across their direct-to-consumer platform, Amazon and retail partners, including Boots and Holland & Barrett. 

Now, the business was entering a new phase of growth. While Wype had successfully driven customer acquisition through paid social, the next stage required a more advanced approach to creative volume, variation and performance across their paid advertising strategy. 

Challenge: Building a scalable, creative‑led growth engine

The business needed to onboard a Creative Strategist to: 

  • Support an incoming Head of Growth with a specialist creative operator 
  • Increase the velocity, quality and diversity of paid creative 
  • Build a repeatable creative system aligned to how Meta’s algorithm now performs

This was a newly emerging role (one that barely existed two years ago) with a limited and highly competitive talent pool. The risk was clear: without the right hire, growth efficiency and scalability would stall at a critical inflection point.

Finding high‑quality Creative Strategists is increasingly difficult, and most suitable candidates are not actively applying to roles. Demand significantly outweighs supply, particularly within high‑growth D2C brands where there is a growing emphasis on real creative variety in paid ads, as they try to keep up with the demands of Meta/Andromeda.

This reframing unlocked access to profiles who may be London‑based but operate on a more flexible or hybrid basis. 

By adjusting both search parameters and expectations, we were able to identify a solution that balanced commercial reality with long‑term growth needs. 

Ultimately, Yasmin acted as a strategic partner throughout the recruitment process, bringing deep market insight into a fast‑evolving and highly constrained skillset.
