About this event
Since the pandemic, the computer gaming industry has gone through a period of significant change. The last 12 months have been particularly challenging, as organisations restructured their teams to prepare for a new era of distribution, interoperability and live services. Coupled with the challenges of player acquisition, engagement, and margin development, we're exploring the skills, qualities, and behaviours senior leaders need to ensure success, for themselves, their teams, products, and services.
We’ll be discussing these challenges and more, including the most effective ways to overcome them, with a panel of industry experts, including:
- Michael Pattison, VP Global PC/Console Publishing at LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS, formerly CEO at Team 17 Digital and SVP Platform Planning and Management at PlayStation
- Solomon Rogers, Global Director of Innovation at Magnopus, Founder of Rewind and Chair of BAFTA Immersive Entertainment
- Melissa Allwork, Former Senior Director eCommerce & Optimisation at PlayStation
- Charlotte Bidgood, Co-founder of Inclusive People and Former Senior Director of Human Resources at Activision Blizzard
They’ll share their own candid stories and break down the key learnings, skills and techniques that have helped them become more effective leaders. Topics covered will include:
- A look back at the gaming market over the last 5 years
- The industry in 2025 & beyond – strengths, opportunities, threats
- Styles of leadership – do they need to change to remain relevant
- Successes & failiures – candid stories & learnings
- Techniques & methodologies to promote high-performing teams
- The effect of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in the workplace
