Just wanted to share a few quick tips, if you were to start today building your personal brand.
The first thing I would say is get very clear on what you'd like to achieve through your personal brand.
- Is it those opportunities?
- Is it a career promotion?
- Is it some some clients, a specific type of client?
Get really clear on what the goal is and really try and tune in to what that audience needs. What does that audience need to see in order to choose you and to trust you? Because that's going to really help you with your messaging. When I say messaging, I mean anytime you're speaking in front of a group of people, when you're speaking on a platform like LinkedIn, everything needs to be tied in to that goal.
And then the other thing I would say, speaking of LinkedIn, is especially if you're in real estate or in any sort of B2B sector, is to really invest in that platform. Make sure that your profile is up to date. Make sure that again that messaging is present there and that it's very clear what you can offer.
And then finally, I would say nurture your network, because your network is your biggest asset and again, it's something that grows with you and stays with you throughout your career. So, make sure that you're connecting with people that already know you but that you're also connecting with people that can actually help you with those opportunities that you're after.
